Services / UI/UX Design
Design that ships,
not just looks good.
UI/UX design grounded in user research, tested with real people, and delivered as design systems your engineers can build from — not pretty mockups that gather dust.

Design Maturity
How mature is
your design practice?
Six questions. No email required. You'll get an honest read on where you stand — and what to fix first.
Most teams overestimate their maturity. The quiz is calibrated against real assessments.
01Do you have a documented design system or component library?
02Is your product accessible to WCAG AA standards?
03Do you test designs with real users before shipping?
04Do you have a documented UX process?
05Is design involved in product decisions early?
06Do designers and engineers work together daily?

What we believe
Five principles we don't bend.
Every screen, every component, every handoff gets measured against these.
Accessibility is not optional
Every screen we ship meets WCAG 2.2 AA baseline. Focus states, contrast, keyboard navigation, screen reader support — designed in from the first wireframe, not bolted on at audit time.
Systems over screens
A design system outlives any single screen. We build reusable components and tokens so your product stays consistent at 10x the size it is today.
Test with users, not opinions
Stakeholder reviews are not research. We watch real users attempt real tasks and fix what breaks — before your engineers build it.
Respect the engineering
Designs that cannot be built are waste. We design alongside developers, use real constraints, and ship specs your team can build without translation.
Ship, don't polish forever
We iterate in production, not in Figma. Ship something real, measure, improve — not endless design cycles that never see real users.
What we do
Full-stack design capability.
From research and wireframes to a production-ready design system.
User Research
Interviews, surveys, contextual enquiry. We learn from real users before a single pixel is drawn.
Information Architecture
Sitemaps, user flows, and navigation models that make complex products feel obvious.
Wireframing & Prototyping
Low-fi to high-fi prototypes in Figma. Testable in days, not weeks.
Visual Design
Interface design that's on-brand, accessible, and distinctive.
Design Systems
Component libraries, design tokens, and documentation for consistency at scale.
Usability Testing
Moderated and unmoderated testing. We watch real people use your product.
Accessibility Audits
WCAG 2.2 AA audits with remediation plan. Screen reader, keyboard, contrast.
Responsive & Mobile-First
Designs that work everywhere — from 360px Android to 4K desktop.
Research methods
The right tool
for the question.
Research is not one thing. Every question has a method that answers it best — we pick deliberately.
User interviews
Understanding motivations, workflows, and pain points in depth.
Contextual enquiry
Watching users in their real environment — office, hospital, field.
Moderated usability testing
Testing specific tasks with real users while they think aloud.
Unmoderated testing
Scaled testing at low cost — good for validating multiple variants.
Card sorting
Understanding how users categorise information — shapes IA.
A/B testing
Comparing variants in production once designs are live.
Analytics review
Seeing what users actually do, not what they say they do.
Diary studies
Long-term behaviour patterns across days or weeks.
How we work
Four phases. No surprises.
Discover
Stakeholder interviews, user research, competitive audit, and technical constraints. We define the problem before proposing solutions.
Design
Wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototype. Weekly reviews with you. Iterate until it's right.
Test
Moderated usability sessions with real users. Accessibility audit. We find the problems before engineering does.
Deliver
Dev-ready Figma files, design tokens, component documentation, and a live walkthrough with your engineering team.
Selected work
Design in the wild.
Four projects across banking, government, healthcare, and education — showing how we handle different constraints and audiences.
Regional Bank Mobile App
Full redesign of a retail banking app — accounts, transfers, bills, cards. Reduced support calls by making everything findable.
Citizen Services Portal
Applications, permits, payments, and grievance tracking for a national agency. Designed for citizens on low-bandwidth connections.
Hospital Operations Dashboard
Real-time bed occupancy, staff scheduling, and patient flow. Designed to be readable at a glance during a busy shift.
University Admissions Portal
End-to-end admissions — application, document upload, WAEC verification, offer acceptance. Handled peak intake without downtime.
Case study
Regional bank:
from 2.9 to 4.6 stars.
A retail banking app redesign — research, IA, design system, and usability testing. Shipped without downtime.
At a glance
The context
A regional bank with over 200,000 retail customers. Mobile app rated 2.9 stars on the app store. Support team fielding thousands of calls a month — most of them about basic tasks users couldn't find in the app.
The problem
The app had grown organically for six years. Every new feature added a new screen. Navigation was seven levels deep in places. Transfers — the single most-used task — took nine taps from login.
What we did
Four weeks of research — interviews with 40 customers, support call analysis, competitor teardown. Then a full redesign: new information architecture, three primary tabs, transfers reduced to three taps. Complete design system with 60+ components.
How we tested
Two rounds of moderated usability testing with 12 participants per round. Success rate on the top 5 tasks went from 43% to 91%. Accessibility audit passed WCAG 2.2 AA on the first pass.
What changed
Engineering shipped in three phases over 4 months with no downtime. App store rating climbed to 4.6 within two months. Support calls about navigation dropped sharply — freeing the team for real issues.
What this proves
Good design is measurable. Task success rate, app store rating, support volume — all moved. Not because the design looked nicer, but because it removed friction that had accumulated for years.
Accessibility
WCAG 2.2 AA is our baseline.
Not an audit we bolt on at the end — a requirement in every wireframe, every component, every handoff. Here is what we actually test and deliver.
Contrast
Every text/background combination tested. Minimum 4.5:1 for body copy, 3:1 for large text. We check dynamically generated content too.
Keyboard navigation
Every interactive element reachable and operable by keyboard alone. Logical tab order. Visible focus indicators on every state.
Screen reader support
Tested with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver. Semantic HTML, ARIA where needed, correct landmark structure.
Cognitive accessibility
Plain language, consistent patterns, clear error messages. Not every user has the same attention or context.
Touch and motor
Minimum 44×44 tap targets. Ample spacing between interactive elements. Support for gesture alternatives.
Documentation
Audit report with each issue, its WCAG reference, its severity, and a specific remediation. Not vague advice.
What you get in every audit
A written report listing every issue, its WCAG reference, its severity, and a specific remediation. Plus a retest after fixes.
Design systems
Consistency at scale.
A design system is how product teams ship consistent interfaces across hundreds of screens, without every designer reinventing the button.
Component Library
Every button, form field, card, modal, and navigation pattern — reusable, documented, versioned.
Design Tokens
Colors, spacing, typography, radii, and shadows as named tokens. Change once, propagate everywhere.
Grid & Layout Rules
Responsive breakpoints, column grids, spacing scales. Engineering knows exactly what to build.
Accessibility Baseline
Focus states, contrast ratios, ARIA patterns, keyboard flows — baked into every component.
Documentation
When to use what, and when not to. Onboarding docs so new designers and engineers ramp fast.
Code-Ready Specs
Figma to Storybook mapping. Our designs translate 1:1 to your component library.

Why Innov8ProTech
Design that respects engineering.
Dev-ready, always
Every design we ship is documented, spec'd, and mapped to a component library. Your engineers will not guess at spacing values.
Tested with real users
We watch real people use your product before we hand off. Problems caught in testing cost a fraction of post-launch fixes.
Built for scale
Design systems, tokens, and documentation that survive 10x growth. Not a one-off mockup that breaks the moment the product evolves.
